The reality TV star and business mogul unveiled the Amethyst Cross necklace at the 2024 LACMA Art + Film Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday, marking the first time she wore it publicly since purchasing it nearly two years ago at auction.
Kardashian paired the ornate, jewel-encrusted pendant with a plunging ivory gown and an ivory choker reminiscent of Diana’s style.
Crafted by Garrard, the pendant was named after Naim Attallah, who loaned it to Diana several times.
According to the jewelry house, it is “a pendant crafted in white gold and silver; set with amethysts and diamonds, created in a Renaissance style by Garrard in the early 20th century.”
Princess Diana’s most notable appearance with the cross was at a charity gala in 1987.
Kardashian styled the necklace in her own way by significantly shortening the pearl chain and pairing it with a collection of other jewels, including a six-strand pearl choker.
Instead of matching her outfit to the amethyst hue, she used the necklace to add a vibrant pop of color to her all-white ensemble.
