In Mararaba Udege, Nasarawa Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, irate youths reportedly set ablaze the car of one Mr. Emmanuel Sani after he allegedly killed his brother-in-law.
The youths also demolished and burned down the residence of Sani’s grandfather in the community.
The incident occurred during a heated argument at the residence of Sani’s father-in-law around 3:00 pm on Saturday, November 23, 2024. Sani is accused of stabbing Mr. Lazarus, the younger brother of his estranged wife, with a knife. Lazarus was rushed to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
After the altercation, Sani reportedly fled the scene, abandoning his vehicle, which the angry youths subsequently set on fire.
A Facebook user, Abdulmalik Mikail, confirmed the incident in a post, urging anyone with information about Sani’s whereabouts to report to the authorities.
“He is called Emmanuel Sani. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us or the nearest police station if you see him. He just stabbed my little cousin, who happened to be his brother-in-law, to death,” Mikail wrote.

DSP Ramhan Nansel, the spokesperson for the State Police Command, confirmed Sani’s arrest in a statement on Saturday night.
He also stated that the deceased’s body had been deposited at the General Hospital in Nasarawa.
