Meghan Markle Exudes Joy As She Cradles Her Newborn Son Archie In A Rare And Heartwarming Photo

The Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry are devoted parents to their two children, Archie Harrison, five, and Princess Lilibet, three, as they lead a serene life in Montecito, California.

A touching moment from the couple’s Netflix documentary, Harry & Meghan, offers fans a glimpse into Archie’s early weeks.

The still captures postpartum Meghan seated on a window ledge, lovingly holding the newborn close to her chest. Wrapped in a blue babygrow and a white star-patterned blanket, baby Archie gazes off into the distance as Meghan gently kisses his forehead.

Dressed in a cozy cardigan and sporting a loose high ponytail, Meghan embodies the bliss of new motherhood. This beautiful image was likely taken at Frogmore Cottage, the couple’s home, where they returned just two hours after Archie’s birth.

Born at London’s Portland Hospital on May 6, 2019, Archie entered the world with Meghan receiving an epidural during labor, a detail shared by Harry in his memoir, Spare. He recounted a moment when a nurse attempted to offer Meghan laughing gas, only to find none left, realizing that “the husband’s had it all.”

Two years later, Archie welcomed his little sister, Lilibet Diana, named in honor of Harry’s late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, and mother, Princess Diana.

Meghan has shared that Archie “loves being a big brother,” although he initially took some time to adjust to the arrival of his new sibling.

She noted, “Everyone talks about what it’s like for the second child, but no one talks about the adjustment for the first child when the second one comes along.”
