Hamas terrorists have issued a statement in response to former President Donald Trump’s 2024 election victory, urging his incoming administration to take immediate action to end the conflict in Gaza.
The group called for the US to seriously work towards stopping what it described as a “war of genocide and aggression” against Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, as well as ending support for Israel.
Hamas emphasized that the US must recognize the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including their pursuit of freedom, independence, and the establishment of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
Hamas also expressed hope for the cessation of military aggression and called for an end to US support for Israel, which it accused of undermining regional security and stability.
These remarks align with previous comments from Hamas representatives, including spokesperson Basem Naim, who reiterated the group’s demand for immediate cessation of hostilities in Gaza and support for Palestinian rights.
