Melania Trump has declined an invitation from First Lady Jill Biden to visit the White House, citing the Biden administration’s previous raid on Mar-a-Lago as part of the investigation into classified documents.
A source close to Melania shared with The Post, “She isn’t going. Jill Biden’s husband authorized the FBI to search through her underwear drawer. The Bidens are disgusting.” The source further stated, “Jill Biden is not someone Melania needs to meet.”
While Melania’s husband, President-elect Donald Trump, will meet with President Joe Biden for a traditional post-election meeting in the Oval Office, Melania will not participate. She had previously visited the White House after her husband’s 2016 election win, where she was given a tour by then-First Lady Michelle Obama.
After losing the 2020 election, Donald Trump did not invite the Bidens to the White House before the Democratic president formally assumed office, breaking with a long-standing tradition. The Trump campaign and White House have been contacted for comment on Melania’s decision to skip the meeting.
The FBI raided Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in August 2022 as part of their investigation into his handling of classified documents.
Melania, 54, has expressed her displeasure over the raid, calling it an “invasion of privacy” during a September interview on Fox and Friends. The FBI reportedly searched her wardrobe, combed through her husband’s office, and even searched her son Barron’s room.
