Earl Spencer, known for his high-profile family, is the father of seven children. While his daughters, Lady Amelia and Lady Eliza Spencer, are often seen at glamorous social events, his 21-year-old son, Edmund, has kept a lower profile.
Currently studying Events Management at Oxford Brookes University, Edmund, who goes by ‘Ned,’ has recently begun a surprising new endeavor—pursuing a career as a DJ.
On Wednesday, Charles Spencer shared an exciting update about his son on his X account, promoting one of Ned’s upcoming DJ gigs.
He proudly wrote, “My 21-year-old son Ned, doing so well in his DJ career. Next stop – Durham!” The announcement included a rare image of Edmund, taken from behind as he performed on the DJ decks.
Edmund is the youngest of Earl Spencer’s two sons, born during his marriage to his second wife, Caroline Freud. The couple married in 2001 and divorced in 2006.
In contrast, his elder brother, Louis Spencer, Viscount Althorp, remains equally private. Louis, the son of Charles’ first wife, Victoria Aitken, spent much of his childhood in Cape Town, South Africa, after his parents’ divorce in 1997.
Louis attended Diocesan College, one of Cape Town’s most prestigious private schools, before returning to the UK to study at Edinburgh University.
Despite his connection to the late Princess Diana, Louis has chosen to distance himself from his royal heritage in his professional pursuits.
As an aspiring actor, he goes by the stage name Louis John Lyons and has trained at ArtsEd, a top performing arts school in Chiswick. He is represented by Tavistock Wood Talent Agency, known for clients like Dominic West and Lily James.
