A young bride was found dead in the street just days after her wedding while on her dream honeymoon to Miami.
Aleksandra Leczycka, 26, tragically died of a suspected drugs overdose or severe allergic reaction to them in the Florida city after traveling from Poland to celebrate with her husband.
Leczycka and her husband David Leczycki, from Siedlce, had gotten married just 23 days before the pair were found unconscious on the Miami street.
But police were baffled at how the pair collapsed, and how David became the only survivor.
WHAT POLICE THINK
Because they had been stripped of cash and jewelry, reports local media, US police assumed they had been doped and robbed, Polish media recently reported.
But the tragic truth around the brides death has now been revealed following an investigation.
Examining evidence gathered in Miami from the August 2022 death – cops have now determined the pair had voluntarily taken psychoactive drugs.
The new bride had suffered from either a severe allergic reaction or overdose, investigators in Poland said.
Hours before Leczycka died, she had been posting images of herself enjoying drinks and having fun at a Miami beach.
Evidence suggested the couple had taken drugs themselves but they could not rule out that they were involuntarily drugged.
