Boy, 11, fighting for his life after being hit by car DURING school rush hour

An eleven-year-old boy is fighting for his life after being hit by a car in Chester during rush hour. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

The child was on foot when he suffered serious injuries from the crash, which happened at 5.12pm Tuesday. 

The boy was treated at the scene before being rushed to Alder Hey hospital

A 28-year-old woman who was driving the car, a Nissan, was not injured in the collision.

No arrests have been made following the crash, as the 11-year-old is treated in hospital.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT

Inspector Anton Sullivan, from the Constabulary’s Roads and Crime Unit, said: ‘I understand that this is a considerably distressing incident and our thoughts remain with the victim’s family. 

‘As part of our enquiries to establish the circumstances that led up to the collision, we are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has any information about it, to please contact us.’
