Footage of President Joe Biden ‘wandering off’ into the Amazon rainforest explodes online.
On Sunday, Biden became the first sitting president to visit the Amazon – first taking an aerial tour of the region before walking through a portion of the rainforest with daughter Ashley and granddaughter Natalie at the Museu da Amazônia in Manaus, Brazil.
The president gave brief remarks – where he taunted President-elect Donald Trump – saying ‘nobody can reverse’ his green legacy, while begging humanity to protect the ancient forest, which acts as the Earth’s ‘lungs.’
He then departed the podium – flanked with teleprompters – and headed down a path.
It was the same pathway he entered from and reporters on the scene confirmed that Biden did not get lost in the abyss of the forest.
But online observers wrongly interpreted the clip as the 81-year-old having a senior moment.

The X account @PopBase posted a clip of Biden’s exit, innocently labeling it: ‘Joe Biden becomes the first sitting US President to visit the Amazon Rainforest.’
But that cued a number of people asking where the president was going.
‘Wait, wheres he going? SAVE HIM FROM THE JUNGLE. HE TOO OLD,’ one online user said. ‘And he was never seen again,’ another commented.
