Nigerian-British boxer Anthony Joshua has been recognized as one of the top three highest-earning boxers in 2024.
The former two-time heavyweight champion, who faced a surprising defeat to Daniel Dubois in September, earned a guaranteed purse of £6 million from their Wembley Stadium bout.
With additional pay-per-view revenue, his total earnings could exceed £25 million if the fight generates 850,000 PPV buys.
Only Tyson Fury and Canelo Alvarez earned more than Joshua this year. Fury raked in a staggering $100 million from his undisputed heavyweight clash against Oleksandr Usyk in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in May.
Meanwhile, Mexican star Alvarez earned $35 million for successfully defending his undisputed super middleweight title against Jaime Munguia at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, according to boxing journalist Dan Rafael.
Joshua’s opponent, Dubois, had a guaranteed purse of £3.5 million, with the potential to earn up to £8 million depending on the PPV performance.
The fight ended with Dubois delivering a dramatic fifth-round stoppage, having knocked Joshua down four times.
