Piers Morgan has issued an apology to music icons Jay-Z and Beyoncé after singer Jaguar Wright made unfounded claims about the couple on his show.

During an interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Wright made a series of accusations against the Carters, calling them a “nasty couple” and alleging that they engaged in “keeping people against their will” and putting them on planes while unconscious, comparing the incident to the late Aaliyah’s tragic death.

She also likened Jay-Z and Diddy to convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, but provided no evidence to support her claims.

After the interview aired, Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s legal team contacted Morgan, asserting that Wright’s statements were “totally false.” In response, Morgan issued a rare on-air apology to the couple, acknowledging that the claims had no basis in fact.

Morgan explained, “Last week, I interviewed Jaguar Wright, a singer-songwriter who’s made claims about Diddy for years. Wright unexpectedly made serious allegations about JAY-Z and Beyoncé. Their lawyers informed us that these claims were completely untrue.”

He went on to clarify that the show had complied with a legal request to remove the remarks from the interview, stating, “Editing interviews isn’t something we take lightly on a show called Uncensored, but there are legal limits, and we apologize to JAY-Z and Beyoncé.”
