Donald Trump’s town hall in the Philadelphia suburbs on the evening of October 14 took an unexpected turn into a concert after two medical emergencies disrupted the event.

During the Q&A session, Trump paused as a doctor in the audience assisted the first individual facing a health issue. A second emergency halted the discussion, which was moderated by South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem. Trump then stopped taking questions, noting the heat in the venue and asking about air conditioning.

“They probably can’t afford it, sir, in this economy,” Noem joked.

Amid the first interruption, Trump requested “Ave Maria” to be played, and an instrumental version followed. During the second incident, Trump clarified that he meant he wanted Luciano Pavarotti’s rendition, which was then played.

Once the second person had recovered, Trump resumed speaking for a few moments before suggesting they continue the evening with music, as many attendees stayed, unsure if the event had ended.

“These two people who went down are patriots,” Trump said after the music played. “We love them. And because of them, we got to enjoy some great music, right?”

Trump then proposed finishing the evening with music instead of continuing the Q&A session.

He requested the Village People’s “YMCA,” a common signal that his speeches are ending, yet he remained on stage.

For the next 40 minutes, music played continuously as Trump danced to a playlist featuring Sinead O’Connor’s “Nothing Compares 2 U,” Rufus Wainwright’s cover of “Hallelujah,” and Guns N’ Roses’ “November Rain.”
