American singer Chris Brown has been accused of s*xual assault in a forthcoming documentary titled Chris Brown: A History of Violence, which alleges that the incident occurred aboard music executive Sean “Diddy” Combs’ yacht in 2020.
According to People magazine, the documentary includes an anonymous woman’s account who stated, “Even coming forward as a Jane Doe, some people still found out who I was. I just hope I can shed light on what really happened.” She mentioned receiving death threats after coming forward.
The woman described a trip to Miami in 2020, where she was invited onto Diddy’s yacht by a friend and allegedly encountered Brown. She recounted, “We had talked, and he handed me a drink. I’m not even sure… this is when my memory starts getting a little bit weird. I don’t remember if I saw him pour it, but I just drank it, and he just hands me another drink. As I’m standing there, I started to feel tired, and my body felt a little heavy.”
She claimed Brown then took her to a bedroom, saying, “I remember I did lay back and I’m like, ‘Why can’t I get up?’ Next thing I know, he was on top of me, and I couldn’t move. I said ‘No,’ and then I felt him… next thing I knew, he was inside me. I was so disgusted.”
In her statement to People, she emphasized, “None of the texts disproved the occurrence of the s*xual assault. I want people to realize that and stop shaming victims and/or calling them liars just because they love an artist they don’t even know.”
Additionally, the documentary features Liziane Gutierrez, who accused Brown of assault in 2016. She spoke about her experiences on Instagram, writing, “Liar, clout chaser, ridiculous are just some of the things I have heard over the years since I decided to tell what happened to me. I’m not sure if I’m psychologically ready to face the consequences of appearing in this documentary, including financial repercussions since I signed a non-disclosure agreement.”
However, she felt compelled to share her story: “We all went through a similar situation. We can’t be against domestic violence and simply ignore some cases or even worse blame the victim.”
Gutierrez added, “This is an investigative documentary in which I provided some evidence from the facts that happened with me back in 2016. Please watch it when it airs on October 27th, and then we can discuss it further.”
The documentary also delves into allegations made against Brown by Rihanna, Karrueche Tran, and others. In response to the allegations, Brown’s attorneys have denied Doe’s claims, labeling all accusations in the documentary as “malicious and false.”
