See Moment Princess Of Wales Attends An Emotional Meeting With Prince William At Windsor Castle

The Princess of Wales made a rare appearance following her cancer treatment, joining Prince William at an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle.

While she did not participate in the service, she and William met with 16-year-old Liz Hatton, an aspiring photographer diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer in January.

After learning about Liz’s story through the London Air Ambulance Charity, William and Kate invited her to photograph the investiture ceremony. Liz was accompanied by her mother, Vicky Robanya, stepfather Aaron, and brother Mateo for the special occasion. During their meeting, Kate embraced Liz and wore a maroon dress.

Afterward, the Prince and Princess tweeted: “A pleasure to meet with Liz at Windsor today. A talented young photographer whose creativity and strength has inspired us both.

“Thank you for sharing your photos and story with us. W&C.” Liz also took to social media to express her gratitude, stating, “Such lovely, genuine, and kind people. I’m over the moon that my family and I had this experience.”

This photo marks Kate’s first official appearance since announcing her return to work after completing chemotherapy treatment. She confirmed her plans on September 9 and expressed her eagerness to undertake a few more public engagements in the coming months.

Between now and the end of the year, Kate will have a light work schedule that includes several public appearances as she gradually resumes her royal duties.

Although she has been holding meetings, these have mostly been private. A Court Circular report from a week after her announcement revealed that Kate conducted an Early Years Meeting at Windsor Castle.

Last week, she also made a discreet visit to watch the English National Ballet’s matinee performance of Giselle at Sadler’s Wells, sharing her appreciation on social media for the “wonderfully powerful, moving and inspiring performance” by Akram Khan.
