Report: Singer Cassie Working On A Music Comeback After Her Alleged Abuser & Ex-Boyfriend, Diddy, Stalled Career For Over 20 Years

Combs, 54, is currently in jail following his arrest on September 16 for multiple charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering.

His downfall began when Cassie, 38, filed a $30 million lawsuit in November, accusing him of years of physical abuse and rape.

Combs settled the case just one day later. In March, disturbing surveillance footage surfaced, showing him violently assaulting Cassie at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles, in 2016.

Cassie addressed the video in a statement: “Thank you for all of the love and support from my family, friends, strangers, and those I have yet to meet. The outpouring of love has created a place for my younger self to settle and feel safe now, but this is only the beginning.

“Domestic violence is the issue. It broke me down into someone I never thought I would become. With a lot of hard work, I am better today, but I will always be recovering from my past.”

According to Mail Online, Cassie is now focusing on her musical comeback. The mother of two has recently registered a new song and is considering releasing tracks from her collection of unreleased music.

“With Diddy behind bars and some of his close associates stepping down, Cassie is thinking about making a return to music,” a source told DailyMail.com. “She never expected her career to be stalled after her first album, but she has a vault of unreleased songs she’d like to share if the timing and business align.”

The source also noted that royalty splits have already been arranged with her collaborators.

This news follows Cassie’s recent amendments to a track titled Into It, originally registered with Universal Music in 2010.
