Royal sisters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie were all smiles as they enjoyed a girls’ day in London, just days after the exciting announcement of Beatrice’s pregnancy.
The close-knit royals took time to relish each other’s company at the VIP preview of the Frieze Art Fair 2024 in Regents Park on Wednesday.
Beatrice, 36, showcased her baby bump in a stylish black knee-length dress paired with a burgundy military-style coat adorned with gold buttons and padded shoulders. She completed her look with a black leather bucket bag and matching pumps.
Eugenie, 34, opted for a more understated outfit, donning a silky midi skirt and a chic white T-shirt, topped off with a beige cropped jacket and suede leather boots.
This outing follows Princess Beatrice’s announcement that she is expecting her second child with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, who will be a sibling to Beatrice’s eight-year-old stepson Wolfie and three-year-old daughter Sienna.
In a recent interview, Eugenie shared how she and Beatrice exchange parenting tips and expressed her excitement about becoming an aunt again. “I call her often for advice about meltdowns and various parenting challenges,” she said.
“When I posted that photo on Instagram, I called her and asked, ‘What do you want me to say?’ I always want to check first. She replied, ‘I can’t wait to talk about the trials and tribulations of motherhood.’
“I shared about our mothering journey because it truly feels like joining a club. When your children are the same age and experiencing similar milestones, it’s just the best thing ever… And Bea is my big sister; I confide in her about everything.”
Her sons, August and Ernest, are still unaware that they will soon have a new baby cousin. “I haven’t mentioned it to them yet,” the Princess added. “I think Augie might notice my growing belly, but they don’t really understand just yet.”
Earlier this month, Beatrice and Edoardo, 40, shared their joyful news in an official statement on the Royal Family’s Instagram account, which read: “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their second child together in early spring, a sibling for Wolfie, aged eight, and Sienna, aged three. His Majesty The King has been informed, and both families are delighted with the news.”
