Now, the stylish Princess of Wales has brought back yet another nostalgic item from this era, solidifying its status within royal fashion.
Recently, while watching her youngest son, Prince Louis, play football, Princess Kate gave her off-duty look a retro twist. She wore a pair of brown, 70s-inspired flared trousers, a classic outdoor jacket with large pockets, and matching brown mittens and scarves, creating an ensemble that echoed her signature casual style.
The standout piece was her green baker boy hat, which evoked a wave of fashion nostalgia—especially since she wore it back in 2013.

“Every Christmas, I feel it’s a rite of passage to bring out my baker boy hat in honor of Keira Knightley’s character in Love Actually,” says H! Fashion’s Orion Scott. “As someone who doesn’t typically suit hats, I believe this one is universally flattering (it’s also perfect for bad hair days). I’m fully on board with a revival if the Princess of Wales approves!”
