Princess Eugenie celebrated her mother, Sarah Ferguson’s 65th birthday on Tuesday by sharing a selection of touching photos, one of which featured her own son, Ernest.
The sweet images captured a tender moment between Sarah, the Duchess of York, and her grandson as they strolled through a beautiful garden.
Sarah, crouched down in front of Ernest, appeared to be showing him the flowers, with the young boy holding onto her hands. Sarah wore a green shawl while Ernest sported a green jumper and denim jeans.
In her heartfelt caption, Eugenie praised her mother: “Happy birthday to my beautiful mumma. So proud of the Grannie you are, the mum you are, and the woman you are. You’re an inspiration, and our endless chats bring me so much happiness and incredible support.”
Other pictures in Eugenie’s post showed her and Sarah together, with one including a family friend and another featuring Princess Beatrice as they enjoyed a summer outing.
On part of her birthday, Sarah attended the annual Lady Garden Foundation lunch, where she was joined by Beatrice. Sarah looked stunning in a bold patterned top, while Beatrice looked radiant in red dress and black tights.
At the luncheon, Sarah expressed the importance of raising awareness for gynecological health, saying: “I think it’s very important to amplify the voice for gynae health, and I think the Lady Garden is revolutionizing health.”
She also shared her personal battle with breast cancer, saying, “I don’t want to say sufferer because I’m not a sufferer—I’m a fighter and a great survivor. I love the fact that I’m here, having had a mastectomy, and now I’m talking about it big time, helping to amplify the voice to save lives.”
It’s a particularly exciting time for Sarah, as Beatrice recently announced she is expecting her second child, making Sarah set to become a grandmother once again.
The news, announced by Buckingham Palace earlier this month, shared that Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, are expecting a sibling for their two children, Wolfie, aged eight, and Sienna, aged three.
