Princess Beatrice is expecting her second child with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, Buckingham Palace has announced.
The royal family will welcome a new addition in the coming months. Princess Beatrice, 36, and Edoardo, 40, shared that their new baby will join their three-year-old daughter, Sienna, and Edoardo’s eight-year-old son, Wolfie.
To celebrate the announcement, two family photos were released, one featuring Sienna, with her back to the camera, walking along a country lane while holding hands with her father and brother.
The Palace stated that King Charles has been informed of the joyful news, and both families are “delighted.”
In the official announcement, Buckingham Palace shared: “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their second child together in early spring; a sibling for Wolfie, aged eight, and Sienna, aged three. His Majesty The King has been informed, and both families are delighted with the news.”
Beatrice is the eldest daughter of the Duke of York and his ex-wife, Sarah, making this new baby the fourth grandchild for the York family. The child will be 11th in line to the throne, pushing Princess Eugenie, Beatrice’s younger sister, to 12th place.
This baby will also be the 14th great-grandchild of the late Queen Elizabeth II and the second born since her passing in 2022, following the birth of Eugenie’s second child, Ernest, last year.
