Owodunni Ibrahim, known as Primeboy and a close friend of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka Mohbad, has announced plans to pursue legal action against Mohbad’s mother, Abosede Adeyemo-Aloba, for allegedly making defamatory comments about him.
In a statement released by his lawyer, Akinpelu Ogunbona, Primeboy claimed that Mohbad’s mother gave an interview in which she accused him of having conflicts with her son during his lifetime.
“In the interview, you alleged that our client frequently fought with the late Mohbad and continually complained about being neglected since Mohbad’s rise to fame. You also claimed that our client was advised to flee after Mohbad’s death to avoid suspicion regarding his passing,” the statement noted.
Describing her remarks as defamatory, Primeboy asserted that her comments were intentional and have negatively impacted the affection he receives from his fans.
“Your actions are deliberately intended to harm and tarnish the reputation of our client, who is an emerging star in the music industry. Your allegations have significantly and adversely affected the love and support our client receives from fans and well-wishers worldwide,” the statement continued.
Primeboy has requested that Mohbad’s mother retract her statements within seven days, warning that he will take legal action if she fails to comply.
Mohbad passed away under controversial circumstances in September 2023.
