The memorable image, captured by the Princess of Wales, shows Mia, now 10, enjoying lunch with Prince Philip in Scotland.
Reflecting on these moments spent with his royal relatives, Mike wrote: “Lunch would often mean venturing into the Scottish Highlands for a picnic. There’s a great picture of my daughter Mia with the Duke of Edinburgh that perfectly captures those afternoons: a close-knit family, deeply bonded, enjoying precious time together.”
In the photo, Mia is dressed warmly in jeans, a denim jacket, and a cozy green gilet with a fur-lined hood, while Prince Philip wears a green waterproof jacket and beige trousers.
Mia smiles as she eats, while her great-grandfather tends to his plate. Mike originally shared this image on Instagram in tribute to Prince Philip following his passing in 2021, saying, “It’s been a very sad week, but it has given us time to reflect on great memories and stories, both personal and shared. A devoted family man whom we will forever miss but always love.”
Mike and his wife, Zara Tindall, also share two younger children, Lena, five, and Lucas, three. While all three Tindall children enjoy the outdoors, Mike recently described a unique challenge in parenting his energetic son, Lucas, whom he calls a “wild child.”
Speaking to The Telegraph, he explained: “You can’t stop him. He wants physical contact, loves wrestling, and thinks of himself as a ninja, walking around with sticks, ready to play. He’s such a typical boy; you almost have to tire him out like a puppy to get him to sleep.”
