A group of people in Madhya Pradesh, India, faced a terrifying encounter after attempting to lure a wild leopard out of the woods for photos, resulting in an attack by the big cat.
According to the Indian Express, the incident occurred in central Madhya Pradesh while the group was on a picnic and spotted the leopard nearby.
Initially, they began filming and laughing as the animal approached, but the situation took a dangerous turn when the leopard suddenly charged at them.
One man, caught on camera, was chased and mauled before the others managed to scare the leopard away.
Three individuals were injured in the attack and were taken to a local hospital. The extent of their injuries has not yet been confirmed.
Local authorities have since issued a warning, urging visitors to avoid the area and to be mindful of the dangerous wildlife that inhabits the surrounding woods and parklands.
