King Charles Set To “Break In Proceedings” With His Cancer Treatment During Upcoming Royal Tour

According to reports, the 75-year-old monarch and Queen Camilla are scheduled to travel from October 18 to 26, with engagements in Australia followed by attending the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Samoa.

Charles will continue his treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer, which he has been receiving since February following an enlarged prostate diagnosis, right up until his departure.

His doctors have approved a brief pause in the treatment while he is abroad, with plans to resume it upon his return to the UK.

The King’s itinerary is expected to allow time for rest and recovery, especially given the long-haul flights involved.

A Buckingham Palace spokesperson previously noted that the schedule was designed to ensure the monarch’s energy is preserved.

Plans for an earlier visit to New Zealand were canceled based on medical advice, but the Australian trip will include significant events in Canberra and western Sydney, as well as in Samoa, where sustainability and biodiversity will be key focuses.

Queen Camilla will prioritize issues related to literacy and domestic violence.
