Kanye West has reportedly acquired a $35 million mansion in Beverly Hills, California, following an unsuccessful attempt to transform his former Malibu estate into a “bomb shelter.”

According to a TMZ report on October 28, the “Heartless” rapper purchased the 20,000-square-foot property located in the exclusive Beverly Park North neighborhood.

The home boasts 11 bedrooms and 18 bathrooms, set on approximately seven acres of land. It features a resort-style pool complete with a waterfall, an additional lap pool, a pool house, a tennis court, and an “entertainment pavilion.”

TMZ also noted that West, 47, bought the mansion through an LLC in an off-market transaction. This purchase comes just a month after he sold his Malibu property for $21 million, having originally acquired it for $57 million in 2021.

The low sale price of the beachfront home is believed to be a result of West’s decision to remove all the windows and electrical systems in a failed bid to convert the mansion into a “bomb shelter from the 1910s,” as reported by TMZ.

This ambitious project reportedly led to legal troubles with his project manager, Tony Saxon, who has sued West for allegedly breaching several labor codes and disregarding advice to keep the windows intact.
