Israel’s Ambassador To UN: “Israel’s Retaliation For Iran’s Attacks Coming Soon”

Israel has stated that retaliation for Iran’s recent attacks will happen soon. Following Iran’s largest-ever strike, in which approximately 200 ballistic missiles targeted Israeli military sites, Israel’s war cabinet is weighing its response and “will not sit idly by.”

Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, told CNN’s Kaitlan Collins on October 3 that the upcoming response will be “strong and painful,” adding, “It will be soon.”

Danon highlighted Israel’s capability to strike any location in the Middle East and emphasized that the decision on how and where to retaliate rests with Israel.

When asked whether Israel will heed U.S. President Joe Biden’s request not to target Iran’s nuclear facilities, Danon replied that it is the responsibility of the U.S. and other Western democracies to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear capabilities, warning that otherwise, “it will be too late.”

Danon stressed that Israel does not seek escalation or war but will respond to Iran’s large-scale missile launches, ensuring that the retaliation is measured to avoid a full-scale conflict.

He also pointed to Israel’s previous military actions against Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon as examples of its strength.
