The suit, filed by Vanessa LeMaistre, claims that the producer, whose real name is Leland Wayne, drugged and raped her in 2016, leading to her pregnancy.
According to the lawsuit, LeMaistre was at a studio session when she took half a Xanax pill, followed by a single shot of alcohol given by Wayne. She alleges that she blacked out shortly after and later woke up in a hotel room to find Wayne assaulting her.
“A few weeks after the alleged assault, Ms. LeMaistre discovered she was pregnant,” the suit reads. “Having not been with anyone else, she believed the pregnancy was a result of the assault by Wayne.”
Wayne’s attorney, Lawrence Hinkle II, dismissed the lawsuit as a “pure shakedown,” stating, “These are false accusations. Mr. Wayne refused to pay her months ago, and he refuses to pay now. He will defend himself in court and file a claim for malicious prosecution if he prevails.”
In response, LeMaistre’s legal team stated, “Making defamatory remarks will not aid Mr. Wayne’s cause. We look forward to proving Ms. LeMaistre’s claims in court before a jury.”
