In the latest heavyweight boxing rankings released by Ring Magazine, Anthony Joshua has fallen to 7th place following his recent defeat to Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium on September 21.
Previously ranked third, Joshua aimed to solidify his position as a top contender but was knocked down four times during the fight, leading to a significant drop in rankings. Dubois has now moved ahead of him into second place.
Tyson Fury retains the top spot, while Oleksandr Usyk, the current unified champion, holds the Ring Magazine championship title. Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang occupy the third and fourth positions, respectively, with Agit Kabayel and Martin Bakole rounding out the top six—all ranked above Joshua.
Both Parker and Zhang recently achieved victories over Deontay Wilder, which bolstered their standings, with Parker sitting ahead of Zhang due to his win against him last December. Kabayel’s win over Frank Sanchez propelled him into the top ten, while Bakole’s victory over American prospect Jared Anderson has contributed to his rise.
Joshua remains just ahead of Dubois’ other recent opponent, Filip Hrgovic, with Efe Ajagba and Justis Huni completing the top ten. Joshua and Dubois are set to rematch on December 21, with Dubois potentially in line for a shot at the undisputed title, depending on the outcome of their fight.
