Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has opened up about her family’s initial opposition to her marriage with billionaire husband Ned Nwoko, citing their 38-year age difference as a concern.
Regina, who married the 62-year-old Delta senator in 2019, has two children with him.
During a recent live chat on Instagram with a friend, she shared that she met her husband while out sightseeing with one of her “20 ex-boyfriends.”
“I went to visit my boyfriend and was frustrated about having to go sightseeing, but once we arrived, I met this attractive man,” she recounted. “The moral of the story is that your boyfriend shouldn’t prevent you from meeting your future husband.”
She also refuted rumors suggesting her mother pressured her into marrying the politician, stating, “When I started my relationship with my husband, I kind of forgot about having boyfriends; I had around 20. When people assume I had no choice, I’m surprised.”
Regina clarified, “People were saying my mother forced me into this, not realizing she was actually against the marriage—my entire family said no.”
