Abia State: Actress Ngozi Nwosu Declares She Will Not Offer Free Services

Veteran actress Ngozi Nwosu has announced that she will never provide free services to her home state of Abia, explaining her rationale behind this decision.

Nwosu pointed to a lack of support from the state during her health challenges as the reason for her stance.

In 2012, the star of Fuji House of Commotion faced a serious kidney-related illness and noted that the Abia state government did not assist her during that difficult time.

In a recent interview with Nollywood on Radio, the 61-year-old actress expressed her disappointment and frustration with the situation. She emphasized that any future services she offers to the state will come at a significant cost.

“I have personally stated that there is nothing my state could call me for that I would do for free. They will pay dearly for my presence; I’m from Arochukwu local government in Abia state,” she asserted.

Nwosu also recounted how a devoted fan alerted the Lagos government, which ultimately helped her during her health crisis.

“It was the fame I gained through my roles in series that assisted me when I needed help. The person who contacted the Lagos state government did so because I was her favorite actor. When she heard I was in trouble, she reached out to the government to save my life out of love for me,” she added.
