A middle-aged man, whose identity remains unknown, has taken his own life in the Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
His body was discovered hanging from a tree a few days ago.
Barnabas James, a local resident, confirmed the incident to Daily Trust, stating that the man’s lifeless body was found hanging from a tree behind Deeper Life Road in the area.
“I hurried to the scene after receiving the news, where I found the man’s body suspended from a tree on top of a rock,” James said.
He added that the body had been tied with a rope and discovered by a passerby.
At the time of his departure on Wednesday morning, James noted that security personnel had yet to arrive at the location, and the body was still hanging.
