14-Year-Old Girl Suffers Life-Changing Injuries In Suspected Acid Attack At UK School

A 14-year-old girl may be facing life-changing injuries following a suspected acid attack that affected two students and a staff member at a West London school.

The Metropolitan Police reported that they, along with paramedics and the London Fire Brigade, were summoned to Alfred Road by school staff during a patrol at 4:42 PM on Monday, September 30.

One of the victims, a 14-year-old girl, is currently hospitalized with potentially life-altering injuries, according to the police.

A 16-year-old boy is also receiving treatment for less severe injuries that are not expected to have a lasting impact, while a 27-year-old woman has since been discharged from the hospital.

“No arrests have been made and police are investigating,” the Met Police said in a statement. “Tests of the substance are ongoing. At this stage officers believe it to be acidic. Urgent enquiries are underway to identify and arrest those responsible. A number of crime scenes are in place.”

The school in a statement said; “Westminster Academy, is closed today due to unforeseen circumstances. Students will resume lessons through online learning”.
