Travis Kelce assured fans that everything is going well between him and girlfriend Taylor Swift, just hours before his team had to address a leaked PR document speculating on the timing of their rumored breakup.
During an interview on the Rich Eisen Show on Tuesday, the NFL star reminisced about his surprise appearance at Swift’s Wembley Stadium show during her Eras Tour in June.
Kelce, who was dressed in a white tie and black tails, participated in a lighthearted segment before Swift performed “I Can Do It with a Broken Heart.” He joked about the difficulty of just getting her to the couch and the embarrassment he would have felt if he had dropped her, highlighting Swift’s thoughtfulness in ensuring he felt comfortable with his cameo.
Kelce also shared on his New Heights podcast with his brother Jason that he had initially joked about making a motorcycle entrance during Swift’s 1989 era performance. To his surprise, Swift agreed, and he was excited to be part of the show. “I’ve seen the show enough – might as well put me to work here,” he said, noting Swift found the perfect moment for his appearance.
These comments come after a document purportedly from Kelce’s PR firm, Full Scope, surfaced online, alleging that their relationship is staged and outlining a breakup strategy with a target date of September 28. Kelce’s representatives have strongly denied the document’s legitimacy and are taking legal action against its distribution.
A spokesperson for Full Scope has labeled the document as “entirely false and fabricated,” emphasizing that it was not created or authorized by the agency. Kelce’s team has engaged legal counsel to address the forgery.
The supposed contract details how the breakup should be managed, including a sample statement for public release, which reads: “Travis and Taylor have decided to part ways after careful consideration. They both value and respect each other’s personal lives and appreciate your respect for privacy during this time. They remain friends and wish each other the best.”
The document’s authenticity has been widely debated on social media, with some users dismissing it as fake due to inconsistencies and the nature of crisis communication.
Despite the controversy, Kelce’s spokesperson remains focused on disproving the document and defending their client’s personal and professional reputation.
