Despite recent reports suggesting Meghan’s “difficult” behavior is linked to high staff turnover at their company, Archewell, former and current staff have spoken out in defense of the couple.
In an in-depth piece by US Weekly, employees shared how Prince Harry and Meghan foster a close relationship with their team through activities like happy hours, holiday parties, and plans for a karaoke night. The couple also ensures their staff are well taken care of.
One former employee revealed, “When I adopted my dog, the next day, I received a luxury brand leash and collar on my doorstep.” Additionally, new parents at Archewell are gifted both new and gently used high-end baby items.
During their recent trip to Colombia, Harry and Meghan invited their team out for drinks.
A current employee also highlighted Meghan’s thoughtfulness, saying, “If you mention during a call that your skin is bothering you, Meghan will put together a skincare kit for you.”
Team members leaving meetings at the couple’s Montecito home never go empty-handed, often receiving baskets filled with fresh flowers, fruit, and eggs from their own garden and chicken coop, as seen in their Netflix series released in December 2022.
Several employees have praised Harry and Meghan for their kindness. Ashley Hansen, their global press secretary and head of communications at Archewell, recounted the support she received when undergoing surgery.
“They expressed concern and care as if I were their own child, asking how they could help and encouraging me to take all the time I needed,” she said.
Meghan even personally reached out to Hansen’s husband to check on them both, sending flowers and care packages throughout her recovery.
