Son Of Alleged Trump Assailant Says, “I Don’t Like Trump Either”

Oran Routh, the son of Ryan Routh—who is accused of attempting to assassinate former President Donald Trump on September 15—has expressed his own dislike for Trump, stating that his father shares the sentiment.

Oran described his father as having a deep dislike for Trump, but he insisted that Ryan is not a violent person. He expressed shock over the accusations, emphasizing his father’s non-violent nature.

“He’s my dad and as far as I know, he’s only had a few traffic tickets,” Oran told the Daily Mail. “This is crazy. I know my dad and love him, but this is nothing like him.”

“I don’t like Trump either,” Oran added. “He’s not a violent person. He’s a hard worker, a great dad, and has worked his whole life.”

Ryan Routh, 58, allegedly positioned himself 300 to 500 yards from Trump at the golf course, armed with an AK-47 and a GoPro camera. He was spotted by a Secret Service agent who opened fire. Routh fled but was arrested on I-95 shortly after.

Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw noted that Trump’s security was less stringent due to his status as a former president, despite a previous assassination attempt in July.
