An exclusive source told PEOPLE that the 30-year-old musician is focused on his wife, Hailey Bieber, and their baby son, Jack Blues, whose birth was announced last month.
“He’s aware of Diddy’s arrest and the surrounding allegations,” the source said, referencing the 54-year-old rapper’s arrest on September 16 related to recent sex trafficking and sexual assault lawsuits. “However, it’s not something he wants to dwell on.”
Instead, the insider noted that the “Peaches” singer has been “in a happy bubble since baby Jack was born.”
“He just wants to focus on being a great dad and husband,” they added.
Diddy was taken into custody at a New York City hotel on September 16 after being indicted by a grand jury. Following the arrest, U.S. Attorney Damian Williams confirmed that Diddy was apprehended by federal agents based on a sealed indictment, which was unsealed the next day, revealing charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation for prostitution.
At the time of Diddy’s arrest, his lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, stated that his client is “an innocent man with nothing to hide.”
He expressed disappointment over what he believes to be an unjust prosecution by the U.S. Attorney’s Office, asserting that Diddy is a music icon, entrepreneur, loving family man, and philanthropist who has dedicated 30 years to building his empire and uplifting the Black community.
Justin announced the arrival of his and Hailey’s son on August 23, sharing a photo of the newborn’s foot on Instagram with the caption, “WELCOME HOME JACK BLUES BIEBER.”
A close source recently told PEOPLE that both Justin and Hailey, 27, are “overjoyed” to be first-time parents, describing the baby as “such a miracle” and noting that the pregnancy was something they had wished and prayed for.
“The day they found out Hailey was pregnant was the best ever for Justin. He was over the moon with excitement. It was a big celebration for them,” the source said, adding that “Justin’s already a great dad.”
