Report: Princess Kate Resumed Royal Duties Following Her Cancer Treatment

Kate held an Early Years Meeting at Windsor Castle, marking her first official engagement since beginning her treatment earlier this year.

The Court Circular also noted that Prince William carried out royal duties on the same day, including a private visit to the 22 Special Air Service Regiment, where he met with personnel recently deployed on operations.

Kate’s health update earlier this year indicated she would follow a lighter work schedule for the remainder of the year. This will involve private meetings and a few public appearances as part of her gradual return to her royal responsibilities.

Among these appearances, Kate is preparing to join the royal family at the annual Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph in Whitehall. She is also working on her annual Christmas Carol concert at Westminster Abbey, which has become a staple in the royal calendar.

At the start of the year, it was announced that Kate would undergo abdominal surgery and was expected to be absent from public duties until Easter.

On March 22, she revealed her cancer diagnosis and that she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy.

Despite her treatment, Kate made a few public appearances, including attending Trooping the Colour in June with her family. She was also seen with her sister Pippa Middleton and daughter Princess Charlotte at the Wimbledon men’s finals.
