Rachael Ray has spoken out following concerns about her health that arose after a clip from her show, Rachael Ray in Tuscany, caused alarm among fans. The 56-year-old celebrity chef became the subject of speculation after the video, which aired on Monday, September 2, showed her struggling with her speech while recounting a story about the late Tony Bennett.

In the clip, Ray shared a dramatic moment when Bennett fell and hit his head while dining at her home, sparking fear for his life. However, it was Ray’s speech that prompted viewers to speculate, with some wondering if she might be suffering from a health issue like Bell’s palsy, a mini-stroke, or even alcohol-related issues.

Despite the growing concern, Ray’s spokesperson declined to comment directly when approached by TMZ on September 4. Instead, Ray seemed to shift the conversation by posting a recipe for shrimp and chorizo paella on Instagram the same day.

Fans had mixed reactions to the clip, with some expressing worry over her slurred speech and physical appearance. One commenter wrote, “I think it’s a mini-stroke. Part of her mouth seems to be sinking.” Others defended Ray, suggesting she may be dealing with a medical condition or medication, while some speculated that alcohol could be involved, citing her swollen face and body.

Ray, who underwent vocal cord surgery in 2008, wrapped up her long-running Rachael Ray Show in 2023 after 17 seasons. She has since co-founded Free Food Studios and recently sold a 50% stake to A&E Networks, with plans to produce 278 new episodes over the next two years, according to Variety.
