Princess Sofia made a radiant appearance on Tuesday, showcasing her beautiful baby bump for the first time. The Swedish princess attended an opera performance marking the opening of the National Assembly, dressed in an exquisite long-sleeved velvet gown from ANDIATA.
She paired the striking red dress with a matching glittering Gucci clutch and opted for nude high heels that complemented her look. Sofia finished her ensemble with gold statement earrings by Caroline Svedbom Jewellery and styled her brunette hair in elegant waves.
The couple, who recently shared the exciting news of expecting their fourth child, had announced it via the Swedish royal family’s official Instagram account. Alongside a touching photo of the couple, the announcement read: “Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia are delighted to announce that they are expecting their fourth child. The baby is due in February 2025, and Princess Sofia’s official schedule will remain unchanged this autumn.”
The couple already have three sons: Prince Alexander, eight; Prince Gabriel, seven; and Prince Julian, three. The announcement came shortly after Sofia and Carl were seen dancing at Princess Märtha Louise of Norway and Shaman Durek Verrett’s wedding in Geiranger, Norway, where Sofia looked elegant in an orange and white ombre gown by Lilli Jahilo.
To celebrate Gabriel’s seventh birthday on August 31, Carl Philip and Sofia shared a sweet photo of their son with the caption: “Today, our beloved Gabriel turns 7 years!”
Despite their royal titles, Carl Philip and Sofia’s children, along with Princess Madeleine and Chris O’Neill’s children, will no longer be styled as HRH, reflecting their future roles outside of royal duties.
