Princess Kate Finished Chemotherapy Treatment For Cancer And Described The Past Nine Months As Particularly Challenging

Kate Middleton shared on Monday, September 9, that she has completed her chemotherapy treatment and will maintain a lighter schedule of engagements for the rest of the year.

In a video message, Kate, who had previously revealed her battle with an unspecified type of cancer, emphasized her commitment to staying cancer-free.

“The past nine months have been extremely challenging for our family,” she noted. “The journey with cancer is complex, frightening, and unpredictable, especially for those closest to you.”

She also reflected on the personal impact of the experience, stating, “It confronts you with vulnerabilities you might never have considered, providing a new perspective on life.”

The video, set to gentle music, features footage of Kate in various serene locations such as a forest, beach, and field in Norfolk. It includes moments of her alone as well as with her husband, Prince William, and their children, George, Charlotte, and Louis.

Expressing gratitude for the support she and her family have received, Kate acknowledged that while she has finished chemotherapy, the road to full recovery is ongoing. “I am eager to return to work and participate in more public engagements in the coming months as I am able,” she said.

Since announcing her cancer diagnosis in March, Kate has made a few public appearances. Her diagnosis came shortly after Buckingham Palace revealed that King Charles III had been hospitalized with an enlarged prostate, though he does not have prostate cancer.
