A recent CNN Poll of Polls, which aggregates data from surveys conducted since the Democratic National Convention, reveals a close contest between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump, with no definitive leader emerging.
Harris averages 49% support, while Trump stands at 47% according to polls conducted between August 23 and September 6. This average is consistent with previous figures, where Harris was at 50% and Trump at 48%.
The Poll of Polls includes the latest four national surveys of registered or likely voters for the 2024 presidential election.
Additionally, a New York Times and Siena College poll conducted from September 3 to 6 shows Trump with 48% support compared to 47% for Harris, indicating a tight race.
The survey highlights a significant gender divide among likely voters, with Harris leading by 11 points among women (53% to 42%), while Trump has a 17-point lead among men (56% to 39%).
Harris leads by 8 points among voters under 30 (51% to 43%), whereas Trump has an advantage among those aged 65 and older. Independent likely voters slightly favor Harris, 48% to 44%, while those who did not vote in 2020 lean toward Trump, 49% to 40%. Harris also shows strong support among Black and Latino voters.
In November, voters will choose between Kamala Harris of the Democratic Party and Donald Trump of the Republican Party for the presidency.
