Sean “Diddy” Combs once joked about inviting Prince William and Prince Harry to one of his parties, years before recent allegations against him surfaced.
The music mogul was recently arrested by federal agents following several civil lawsuits accusing him of sex trafficking, sexual abuse, and rape.
Allegations claim that at Diddy’s so-called “Freak Off” parties, victims were drugged and coerced into sex, with some left so severely injured they required weeks to recover.
Amid these accusations, a 2011 interview from The Graham Norton Show has resurfaced, where Diddy mentioned the possibility of inviting the royal brothers to one of his events. During the chat, Graham Norton asked: “I read that you want to get Prince William and Prince Harry to the Diddy party.”
Diddy responded, “Not anymore, they’re off the list. But before, when they were young bucks getting into trouble, I thought, ‘Why not have them come and hang out with me?'”
There is no evidence that Prince Harry or Prince William ever attended any of Diddy’s parties. While Prince Harry was named in one of the lawsuits against Diddy, he is not accused of any wrongdoing.
A producer named Mr. Jones stated in court documents, initially filed in February, that Diddy’s connections to high-profile figures like Prince Harry made him more attractive to attendees.
In 2007, both Harry and William met Diddy at the “Concert for Diana” benefit at Wembley Stadium. Diddy performed his hit song “I’ll Be Missing You” during the event, and afterward, the royals were photographed with him at the backstage party—Prince William shaking hands with Diddy, and Prince Harry embracing him and Kanye West.
