A South Carolina mother is in awe after her fourth child was born on the same day as her three older daughters.
Kristin Lammert, who already had three daughters—Sophia, 9, Giuiliana, 6, and Mia, 3—welcomed her fourth baby girl, Valentina, on August 25, the same date as her other children’s birthdays. The girls were each born three years apart.
“We really couldn’t believe it, and we still can’t. I keep writing it down, and it’s still hard to believe,” Lammert told “Good Morning America.”
Valentina was initially expected to arrive on September 25, but complications led to her earlier delivery. When Lammert and her husband, Nick Lammert, realized their new daughter would share a birthday with her siblings, they couldn’t help but laugh.
“At that moment, we were mostly focused on the health of the baby and myself, so we didn’t immediately think about the date. But as it got closer to midnight, it started to feel funny,” Lammert explained.
Despite arriving prematurely, Valentina was born healthy and didn’t require neonatal intensive care.
“Having a preemie is scary and risky, and we were relieved that Valentina was strong despite her early arrival,” Lammert said. “My girls think it’s the coolest thing ever. I am still in disbelief.”
Lammert had a generally healthy pregnancy until complications emerged towards the end, leading to her hospitalization.
“I had blurry vision on August 23, and that’s when I was told to go to the hospital,” she recalled. “We thought she would arrive on the 23rd or 24th, but it became an emergency, and she was born on the 25th.”
Lammert’s recovery has been challenging due to the complications, but she is gradually returning to normal.
“My older children are completely in love with Valentina. They argue over who gets to hold her next, feed her, and take care of her,” she said.
Reflecting on her experience, Lammert encouraged other mothers to trust their instincts and advocate for themselves, noting that “nothing is actually in your control, but everything is a blessing.”
