She expressed relief while also voicing her anger regarding the FBI’s raid on their Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.

In an interview with Fox News’ Ainsley Earhardt on Fox & Friends, Melania recounted the unsettling moment she learned about the first attempt during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13.

She urged Democrats and media figures to stop portraying her husband as a threat to democracy, attributing the toxic atmosphere to the media, which she believes empowers those wishing to harm him.

Melania criticized the narrative that has arisen since Trump was previously blamed for violent rhetoric, including the incitement of the January 6, 2021, Capitol attack.

“This is not normal,” she stated. “Is it really shocking that all this egregious violence is directed at my husband, especially when leaders from the opposition party and mainstream media label him as a threat to democracy and use vile names?”

Melania insisted, “This needs to stop.” She revealed that a staff member had informed her about the shooting at the rally in Butler and recalled seeing reports of the second assassination attempt at his golf course in Florida while she was in New York.

“I think something was watching over him,” she remarked about her husband’s survival, adding that “it’s almost like the country really needs him.”

Currently promoting her upcoming memoir, set to release on October 8, Melania also discussed family planning. She mentioned that while her husband encouraged her to have more children, she was content with one due to the demands of their busy lives.

“I was always perfectly fine with one,” she said. “Donald was encouraging to have more, but I felt it was just perfect as I manage everything.”

The former First Lady noted that her experience in the fashion industry equipped her with the “thick skin” necessary to endure criticism as the wife of a president.
