Kamala Harris has broken her silence after shots were fired while Donald Trump was playing golf at his club at West Palm Beach.
Trump was rushed to safety by his Secret Service security detail after the shots rang out at the Florida golf course in the second apparent assassination attempt on the former President in less than two months.
The Vice President who will face-off against the GOP leader in November’s presidential election said she was relieved that no-one was hurt in the latest attempt on her rival’s life.

‘I have been briefed on reports of gunshots fired near former President Trump and his property in Florida, and I am glad he is safe,’ she wrote on X.
‘Violence has no place in America.’
The Secret Service reportedly fired back at the gunman and a suspect was later seized in what officials believe was an attempt on the ex-president’s life.

‘President Trump is safe following gunshots in his vicinity,’ Trump campaign communications director Steven Cheung said in a statement. ‘No further details at this time.’
Multiple police sources have confirmed to media that an AK-47 was recovered at the scene and that he was pointing the weapon towards the golf course on Sunday afternoon before shots were fired at around 2:00 p.m.
