The US Secret Service has responded to a shooting incident that occurred near Donald Trump as he was leaving his golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Sunday afternoon, September 15.
Trump’s spokesperson, Steven Cheung, confirmed that “President Trump is safe following gunshots in his vicinity. No further details are available at this time.”
The incident involved a gunfight between two individuals outside the Trump International Golf Course in West Palm Beach. Police reported that the gunfire was directed at each other, not at Trump.
According to sources cited by the NY Post, Trump was not in any immediate danger, and the shooting took place in an area known for high crime rates, outside the club.
This news follows an incident nearly two months prior when Thomas Matthew Crooks shot at Trump during a rally in Butler, PA on July 13, injuring him in the ear.
