Dawn Richard, a former member of Danity Kane, has filed a lawsuit against hip-hop mogul Diddy, accusing him of s*xual abuse. The singer alleges that the music executive belittled, terrorized, and s*xually assaulted her, as reported by TMZ.
In her court filing, Richard claims she experienced verbal abuse from Diddy, who allegedly used derogatory terms like “fat,” “ugly,” “bitches,” and “hoes” toward contestants on his MTV show “Making the Band” in 2004.
She also alleges witnessing Diddy physically assaulting his ex, Cassie, and later Kim Porter in 2005, and describes a violent incident in which Diddy, allegedly high on drugs, attacked Ventura in his Los Angeles home.
Richard, 41, further alleges that Diddy threw a pan of scalding eggs at the “Me & U” singer, punched her in the face, and attempted to strangle her. She claims that when she and bandmate Kalenna Harper tried to intervene, Diddy threatened them.
Additionally, Richard accuses Diddy of forcing her to rehearse for 48 hours without sleep, leading to significant weight loss, dehydration, and rashes. She alleges that between 2009 and 2011, Diddy s*xually assaulted her multiple times by touching her inappropriately while she was undressed in a changing room.
The lawsuit also includes claims of witnessing Diddy and others engaging in s*xual acts with his former female assistant at a hotel pool in Glasgow.
Richard is seeking compensatory damages for mental anguish, punitive damages, and coverage of her attorney’s fees. Diddy, who is currently facing several s*xual abuse lawsuits, has denied the allegations. He recently settled a similar lawsuit filed by Ventura shortly after it was submitted in November 2023.
In May, a video surfaced showing Diddy physically attacking Ventura in a hotel in 2016, for which he later issued a public apology.
