Ukraine could be cleared to launch British Storm Shadow cruise missiles at targets inside Russia within days as it seeks to fight off Putin‘s forces.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN?
The US is reported to be ready to relax its ban on the weapons, which use American technology, being used outside Ukraine over retaliation fears.
Joe Biden and Sir Keir Starmer are expected to discuss the missiles at a hastily-arranged meeting in Washington on Friday, after it was revealed that Iran has supplied Russia with more long-range weapons.
Foreign Secretary David Lammy and his US counterpart Antony Blinken arrived in Kyiv this morning to meet President Zelensky and his administreation in their first joint trip.
He has repeatedly pushed for permission to use Western missiles to strike at targets within Russia.

WHAT WAS SAID
In a meeting Ukrainian prime minister Denys Shmyhal asked Mr Lammy for long-range missiles to ‘strike on (the) territory of our enemy’.
Speaking in a meeting with Mr Lammy at his office in Kyiv, Mr Shmyhal said: ‘We hope that long-range equipment for strikes on the territory of our enemy will be reached and we will have it.
‘We hope for your help and support in this issue.’
Iran, as it has with previous US intelligence findings, has denied providing Russia with weapons for its war in Ukraine.
