John Cena shared his reasons for choosing not to have children and discussed the conversations he’s had about this with his wife on the Club Shay Shay podcast.
“I don’t want kids,” John explained. “I have a certain curiosity about life, and I understand the commitment it requires.”
He added, “My greatest fear is that, as someone who is often driven and stubborn, I may not be ready, nor ever will be, to invest the time needed to be an exceptional parent. I want to fully experience life and still have many goals I wish to achieve.”
John, who has been married to Shay Shariatzadeh since 2020, noted that they had discussed their mutual decision not to have children early in their relationship.
This topic had previously influenced his past relationships, including his six-year relationship with WWE star Nikki Bella, which ended partly because of her desire for children.
