Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Say ‘Ukraine Will Not Trade Territory Or Lives For Peace’

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has firmly declared that Ukraine will not use its territory or people as bargaining chips in negotiations with Russia.

“We are not prepared to offer up our land or people in exchange for peace proposals. Our values, freedom, and democracy are non-negotiable,” Zelenskyy emphasized in an interview with Indian media over the weekend.

He also addressed the broader global implications of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, cautioning that any justification of President Vladimir Putin’s actions could set a dangerous precedent for other violations of territorial integrity worldwide.

Zelenskyy stressed the importance of diplomatically isolating aggressors and urged global leaders to present a united front against such actions.

“As long as Ukraine stands firm, fights against violations of sovereignty, and has the support of the international community, the risk of similar crises elsewhere in the world is diminished,” Zelenskyy said.

He reiterated Ukraine’s dedication to supporting other nations fighting for their freedom, highlighting that this commitment is based on fundamental values and the protection of individual rights.

Zelenskyy identified Putin’s refusal to end the conflict as the primary barrier to peace. He also urged India to halt its import of Russian oil, stating that doing so would significantly challenge Putin.
