Two dogs who ‘killed their owner outside his house’ being HUNTED by police

Police are hunting for two dogs believed to have killed their owner outside his home in Birmingham.

The man, aged 33, was found dead in the back garden of his home in the Rubery area of the city yesterday.

Police say two dogs have been seized but have revealed they are searching for two more American Bulldog types.

Officers were called to Hereford Close in the early hours to reports a number of dogs were loose.

They found the victim outside in the back garden of a property where they seized the two dogs.

A post-mortem examination is being carried out to establish the man’s cause of death.

Police said they were working on the belief he had been ‘attacked by at least one dog, which may have contributed to his death’.

The dogs are thought to have all come from the property where the man was discovered.

Supt Sally Simpson, from West Midlands Police, today said: ‘The investigation into his death is continuing and our priority right now is finding the other dogs that we believe may have been involved,’

It is not clear which of the four dogs was responsible for the attack.
